Ok so uh. John, yeah. That nerd. As far as keeping in contact goes, then yeah he uses his computer so long as he didn't accidentally blow it up trying his hand at programming again. I think he and Jade are cousins?? I don't remember where things are there, so I don't know how they met, and a lot has happened since the last time we rped here so I might need to be reminded of how Dave and John met

Yeah, John and Jade and Jake are all somehow cousins. I'm not exactly sure how that works but it does in a way that I'm too lazy to think out in my head. I believe John and Jade are both Jake's cousins so John and Jade are like second cousins? If that's how family relations go? I'm not exactly all that sure how second cousins even work but I assume that's how.

But good lord. Just fucking shove everyone in a tree and Jade will come to the rescue like some weird magical fireman. Or a golden retriever. Whichever way it's Jade to the goddamn rescue. I am ok with however you both want each other to meet though. Whether it be by there being a panic party in the tree or Jade just dragging the two together to watch a beautiful bromance blossom or them running into each other on their own.

Well if John keeps mostly to himself and then stuck around Jade and Jake for the first year then I could see Jade trying to get John into various activities or hobbies to try and cheer him up and get him back to his goofy, dorky normal personality. Eventually trying to get him into pranking and by that point trying to get him a friend and thus basically being like "Just go prank Dave" but not actually saying that but like pointing him in the direction of Dave. Or he could just prank Dave by happenstance and that'd be equally as funny tbh.

Gotta love them random happenstances. Gotta love the random happenstances where Dave is the sole victim.

Either way Jade would definitely try to get John out of his shell once about half the year goes by if he hasn't started to do so himself. I dunno if John and Jade would have met or known about each other before schooling started, Jade's not exactly a sheltered kid and she might have access to the internet at her Grandpa's house at some point. She's a very curious kid so I can imagine her finding a way on the internet somehow.

Yessss I can totally see them having had playdates as tiny bbies. John and Jade would probably be super close then, yea? I can see that being how they end up calling each other siblings despite not ever living together. Tiny rambunctious babies running around at each other's houses. Jade would probably show John little magic tricks she's learned recently and stuff like that too.

Possibly! I mean, John wouldn't be living with Jake long before going to Hogwarts, right? Since the accident happens right before he goes to school? And I dunno if you've talked to Mandy about Jake and John interacting before all of that or not but if not then it makes sense that he and Jade would be closer. And yessss they'd definitely have moments where they know what each other is thinking or something like that.
