Appearance: Nepeta has a (somewhat deceptive) softness to her, lightly tanned and freckled cheeks framed by short chestnut colored hair. She's not very tall, just missing the 5'4" mark, but underneath her robes her strength is a little more obvious by the tone of her muscles. Her green eyes are more often than not alight with a cheerful smile, button nose crinkling when she laughs. Overall, the term Super Adorbs sums her up pretty nicely appearance wise.

-ABOUT-
Personality: She likes to think she's pretty tough, belonging to the House of notoriously unapologetic rascals, but really Nepeta is the kind of person who's more likely to apologize when someone else bumps into her of their own poor attention. She tends to have a friendly disposition with strangers, a strong believer in the idea that people are basically good. Her kindness can occasionally give way to naivety, leaving her unfortunately vulnerable, but despite her trusting nature she knows better than to let herself be fooled twice. Any animosity that she shows is typically reserved for those who deserve it, or anyone she thinks does, but those two categories tend to intersect nicely. She possesses a striking curiosity, the kind common among Gryffindors that's famous for getting them into sticky situations, and sometimes pokes around in things she probably shouldn't. Nepeta has a particular affinity for cats and all things feline, but her love for creatures of all kinds is nearly boundless. (Spiders are the biggest exception.) Naturally, her interests lie in the study and care of magical creatures, with a somewhat lesser enthusiasm in transfiguration and charms.
Background: Nepeta is the only child of Ms. Léone Leijon, a Muggle woman from France who once upon a time settled down with an English wizard, only to have him leave the picture and her alone with their young daughter. Léone refused to stay bitter, though, and settled down to raise her daughter with all the love and care of two parents combined. Nepeta never felt alone as a child, and her mother was her biggest playmate despite so much time spent having to work. Léone nurtured within her a sense of unbridled compassion, a love of adventure and respect for all things living.
Growing up, Nepeta knew next to nothing of her magical heritage aside from stories her mother told her as a child that she grew not to believe until the time she turned 11. The Hogwarts letter came as a definite shock for her, but Léone had apparently been expecting it, and the celebration of cake and ice cream that followed came with a knowing "I told you so" smile.
Quirks & Et cetera: She loves tea and all things sweet. Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop is always her main stop in Hogsmeade when she isn't hauled along with friends to the Three Broomsticks.
She is exceptionally sneaky, to the point that her natural stealth has startled friends on more than one occasion. They'll just be sitting in an empty common room with their Potions homework and suddenly Nepeta.
Occasionally, when she's feeling playful, Nepeta will slip cat puns into conversation. Sometimes people join in, but more often than not they roll their eyes or groan. She'll usually giggle to herself no matter the reacion.
She speaks fluent English and French thanks to her mother.
