Alright I'm cool now. That sounds about right, actually. Should they still kinda stay agitated with each other through the school year? Because I can see that.
Also, other friendships. Do they know Roxy and Jane? Of course, we'll have to talk about that with them, but I also can see all of them talking through the suummer and the whatnot. I don't want to involve them too much just yet, not until they join.

I think it'd be rad if they knew Roxy and Jane beforehand, kind of like last time. I'm sure once we get them they'll agree, but yeah, I wouldn't mention them too much until they're actually taken. I know Dave is chill to hang out, once his app is handed in, pfft.

Hmm......tbh we just need to flesh out their friendship in general.
My app says they've been best friends since they met as first years, Dirk's the one who pushed Jake into joining quidditch (had Dirk already joined, or was he making Jake join with him?), and that they finished becoming animagi the middle of their fifth year (although it was probably more toward the end tbh). This isn't as much to go on as I'd like!!
A little more info I gathered/thought up:
- They presumably became animagi for shenanigans' sake (That's what I had written, but they must've at least had some help from a teacher, I suggest D bc he's a registered animagus and Dirk could totally just drag Jake up to his office and ask him to teach them. D is a tiger. It'd be some hilarious flashbacks.)
- I feel like they probably went through with it to impress the other?? Becoming an animagus is hard work, and yeah it's convenient once the learning process is over, but that's a lot of effort for two fifteen year old boys that just want to goof off. They might not have consciously realized it was to impress, whether it be for romantic or platonic reasons, but I definitely think budding crushes had to do with it.
- Speaking of crushes, when did Dirk realize his?? Third year? Jake probably just figured out his own feelings at the end of fifth year.
- Caliborn also has a huge unrequited crush on Dirk, which is why he treats both him and Jake terribly. Idk if this has any impact on Dirk and Jake's interactions, but I thought it was worth noting.
- WHEN DO THEY START VISITING EACH OTHER OVER BREAK. NEXT YEAR? THIS? LAST? AAAAAAAAA.
- Did they meet on the train?? We need to have little baby flashbacks, PLEASE.
- How often does Dirk tie Jake's for him in the morning. Every day? Once in a while? Does he just chastise him for it? This is v important, Jake never ties it without prompting because breakfast is crucial. Does Dirk fix it himself more once he realizes feelings, or less because touching is embarrassing and awkward? Does he tie it every day with a small "What am I gonna do with you?" smile once they're together? Pls these are v v important to my life.
I will probably (definitely) think of more later, but this seems a good place to start.

D would definitely be their teacher for becoming animagi. Dirk would definitely do this to strut off some of his stuff and make himself look good in front of Jake. I'm not sure what Jake's intentions are, but Dirk would definitely use this as an excuse to show off romantically.
Dirk knew he liked Jake since probably his third year, yeah. Here he is, pubescent and trying to figure out his shit over the years and nothing is changing and shit sucks for Dirk because this is his best friend. I don't think it came irrationally either, it must of come with time and progression, nothing to hurt their friendship. How does Jake figure his shit out? Jesus, does he even know he's into guys?

At that point, I can see Jake trying to talk to Dirk about his interest in men over that summer while in person and Dirk's all like "yeah no I'm pretty flat out gay" and that's when some controversy begins between the two?? It would probably get Dirk's hopes up over the summer thus leading him to Jake it off

Do you mean originally, did they meet on the train their first year? That's something we should talk about with the other Alphas when we figure out how they all begun to talk.
Jake probably ties his tie super poorly in the rush to breakfast so Dirk calmly pulls him aside and redoes it. Maybe Jake can soon enough begin to tie his tie poorly on purpose knowing that Dirk will fix it?
Dirk though, overall, is pretty smooth when it comes to putting away his gay shit. He is either hiding it all away or smoothly brushes his hand against Jake's and doing subliminal things like that to see what kind of reactions he would get before he talks to him about his gayness.
When they get together though, Dirk does Jake's tie on his own will and they probably end up mackin' out in the morning because of it.

Hmm...I think he's always found some aesthetically pleasing, but never really had a solid crush on a guy until Dirk. He might not have been fully aware he's bi, but I don't think it'd be too much of a shock for him, more like an "Oh...wells shit, that makes sense." considering the environment in this is different than the one he grew up in HS canon.

He'd honestly rather to never interact with him for the rest of forever.

If Jake is anything like me then to confess, someone would have to literally force him into a corner with no other options and he'd STILL try to anxiously babble his way out of it. Because Jake would still be bright red but he'd be completely silent after and just stare up at him with these big ol' eyes like "....................OH." It doesn't matter if he thought/knew Dirk liked him beforehand. It doesn't completely register for socially inept people like us until it's made explicitly clear.

The first rp they ended up kissing in the astronomy tower and the second time we cut off before I'm sure they were going to.
I think maybe we should wait until they actually interact this time to see how that might go down??? I mean it's been forever since we've seriously rped them together, and we've probably changed at least a little with how we portray them.
