Appearance (100 character minimum): Standing at a respectable 5’8,” Vriska Serket is a young woman with a lot of confidence in her posture and a flair for presentation. Born with a condition called multiple popula, seven unsettling dissected pupils characterize her left eye, though the jury’s out on whether or not this condition is a hereditary magical trait or no. This isn’t the only unsettling thing about this young witch though, oh no. She has a wicked smile with unnaturally sharp canines and an unnatural love of spiders, big or small. Black haired and blue eyed, she occasionally dies stripes of blue into her hair but has since stopped after being sorted into slytherin. One has to show school pride and all…

-ABOUT-
Personality (200 character minimum): Is brash and impulsive, always seeking interesting and adventurous things to pursue. This isn’t to say she is not intelligent, however. If anything her curiosity and the use of her knowledge to get what she wants is what gets her into trouble, though it generally gets her right back out too. She’s quick to lose interest in things unless provoked by someone, unable to let go of any sort of grudge until she feels she’s been vindicated eightfold. She loves a good story and her expression of her affection is a bit backhanded and twisted, summed up by the phrase “tough love.”
Background (Why Hogwarts? Childhood? Any connections to other characters?): Born to a pureblood family that has a long history with pirate roots, Vriska’s family has a “curse” wherein the matriarch of the family can never keep a husband. Whether he dies or is driven off or tempted away, their family is made up of predominately women because of this and the heirs to the house tend to have a hard time finding suitors. There hasn’t been a son born to their line in over three hundred years, and no one in the family will ever give a straight answer when asked about it.
Vriska’s current family consists of her older sister, her mother, and her grandmother, who are all peas in a pod and actually very loving and supportive… in all the wrong ways. With blood purity encouraged and some of the more eccentric and dark pursuits being taught as part of their early personal curriculum as is the norm for most of the older families.
Despite being French, Vriska and her sister are the first Serkets to attend a school other than Beauxbatons Academy of Magic as part of an attempt to follow and one-up Aranea and seek an education in “foreign” lands where she could find more adventure. Her mother arranged things for them when they expressed their desire, mother Serket always ready to pull web strings when it comes to giving her daughters their desires. She has come to the school as a professor herself in order to keep an eye on her darling girls and spin a few more webs...

Quirks & Et cetera (Anything else you would like to add?): Loves any arachnid though spiders have a special place in her heart. She has a few traits characteristic of obsessive compulsive disorder though she’s never been diagnosed, including her obsession with the number eight, the repeated thoughts and inclination towards hurting others, and being a compulsive hoarder of anything she deems treasure.
