Appearance (100 character minimum): Dusky skinned and black haired, the only thing unusual about Karkat is his blood red eyes. Standing at a modest 5’6, he’s not exactly the tallest guy around but he’s totally definitely sure he’s going to hit another growth spurt soon. Definitely. He’s stocky and a little overweight but is starting to lose his baby fat at last, his family having a history of late bloomers. Usually has dark circles under his eyes from chronic insomnia.

-ABOUT-
Personality (200 character minimum): Gruff and caustic, Karkat is easily angered and vexed about the slightest things. Very blustery and loud, he has a softer gentle side that he tries to cover up with his anger. He’s very empathetic towards friends and just wants the best for those he cares about. He’s something of a perfectionist and agonizes over things when they don’t go the way he thinks they’re supposed to, often blaming himself for things that are out of his control.

Background (Why Hogwarts? Childhood? Any connections to other characters?): Having moved around a lot as a child and entered foster care twice along with his brother and without, he finally found a home at 11 with his estranged grandfather who currently teaches at the school. He was born and lived in America until his grandfather caught wind of someone with the last name Vantas being admitted to the American wizarding school and dug up some information. His muggle son had left for the states a few decades before and he’d never heard back from him, only finding his grandchildren through pure chance to take them in and have Kankri enrolled at Hogwarts. Karkat entered a year after his brother. ((Can be changed if whoever plays Kankri or Signless wants something tweaked or added))

Quirks & Et cetera (Anything else you would like to add?): Tends to yell a lot and gets detention quite often from not being able to curb his expletives. Is always looking to take leadership positions and has recently become president of the school's dueling club. Has a fondness for big comfy sweaters and tends to steal them. Has a beat up ugly crab plush affectionately named Asshole that he keeps hidden. No one knows about its existence except Kankri and his grandfather and he’d like to keep it that way.
