Appearance (100 character minimum): Selena is a very shapely woman, and she loves to show off it too (but she always remains covered ,purebloods and their standards y'know). In her prime she enjoyed dueling and would spare with muggle-born wizards who knew the trade so she had fairly strong arms. Sadly though, her muscles have softened due to lack of use but you can still see the strength they once had. One mar to her beauty would be the burn scar she has over her left eye that remains closed indefinitely. She has a self-spread rumor among the students that if she would open it she would be able to stare into your very soul. But this of course is just a mere scare tactic she uses and usually earns a roll of the eye from one of her daughters. Selena used to have two beautifully blue sapphire eyes with the exception left having seven pupils, from the assumed hereditary gene of multiple popula, a trait the Serket family tends to have in their women. Her left eye used to be the source of her pride, now it just leaves a bitter feeling in her chest every time she looks back at it in the mirror. At 6 foot she sports her favorite brand of blue lipstickblue coral #42 and blue eye liner.

Courageous, cunning, and confident she crushes anyone who would get in the way of her goals--this goes tenfold if said goals are any one of her two lovely daughters, Vriska and Aranea. Selena treats her girls lavishly and spoils them to anything they would want, given that they couldn't have gotten it on their own wit. One of her many passions is storytelling, and boy, could she could go on for days about her past glory, and the plunders she wrought in her youth. All the swashbuckling, wand whirling, and trash talking,oh the joy of it all! Selena counts her blessing that at least one of her daughter wishes to
follow in those footsteps.
Selena tends to have a very competitive side to her, which has rubbed off just a little on her heirs. One of the clubs she owns is located on a large cruise ship, which of course she owns as well. Before she had begun to settle down she used to smuggle magical contraband on she ship and into the muggle realm and the other far reached places of the world. She used to have so much fun sailing and getting into squabbles with rival smuggler ships, oh the and romances she had, oh man she could go on for days on that subject.
Her interests include:pestering Professor Ampora, sailing, teaming up with the GGK in insulting Ampora, cheering on her girls,puns tasteful jokes, summoner's butt chats, sword fighting, friendly sparing with Summoner and really anyone brave enough to face off against her, hosting parties, dueling, and basking in her enemies' defeat.
Dislikes: Inferiors monopolizing her highest priorities, cheesecake, and getting rid of cor-- I mean doing chores.
Background (Why Hogwarts? Childhood? Any connections to other characters?):
Due to the family's ... private investments, the Serkets have been in good economical status for generations. There has been speculation in the family that said investments were why the three hundred year curse still remains, but they are always nothing more than rumors. In fact now that I sit down to think about it, I don't think really anyone in the family truly knows how that came about anymore... But how is she to blame them? The curse takes away all the men in the family--be it through adultery, murder, suicide, or even just plum disappearance, all the men eventually leave. Even stranger still, is the fact that in three hundred years not one male heir has descended from the Serket line. Which made finding mates nearly impossible, if it wasn't for Mommy Mindfang's keen insight and wit that allowed her to keep a man just long enough so that she could produce her two little angels before his untimely demise.
As purebloods, Mindfang makes sure to keep the tradition of teaching her little girls of the dark arts and other eccentric traditions of the family at a young age. Got to get a start on education early, you know!
As a very accomplished woman in the wizarding world, Selena is a very successful business owner of luxurious and infamous clubs where well-to-do businessmen and women like to unwind and relax among many other unspeakable things, but that's none of her business. She once was apart and head of a very infamous and secretive wizard dueling club (whose name this narrator dares not to mention). However, due to a falling out Selena no longer associates with them anymore. Their loss too, considering they were caught disbanded it soon after. Goes to show how far bad leadership will take you.
When it came time for her children to pick schools it was Vriska who asked to attend Hogwarts it was obvious that the girl was trying to one up her sister by attending a foreign school and luckily enough Selena had seen through it and accepted her daughter's request on the condition that both her and her sister would attend the school while she keeps an eye on them as she teaches Divinity.
For Professors: Why is your character teaching the class they are?
In the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, she excelled at divinity that she was deemed a prodigy at a young age. So, when she heard of her daughters wanting to go to a new school she simply knew that her daughters deserved only the best to learn from and Selena was obviously the best to teach them that.
....Plus seeing into the future is pretty cool, like wow, robots in the future?
Flying non-magical cars? Muggle governments finding out about the wizarding world and staring a war--wait, wait that's terrible.
Quirks & Et cetera (Anything else you would like to add?): Knows useless trivia about any arachnid race, magical and non-magical.
Selena also likes to display her sword from her swash buckling days, its mostly black with blue tints.
She has a thick french accent and she will slip in a few french sayings or words. Sometimes it's just random bullshit that she'd con off to the other teachers as profound proverbs when really she just said something like "Tigers like to roar REALLLLLLLLY LOUD."
She likes a lot of muggle music and is often listens to it whenever her daughters or students are out of her room, some of her favorite artists include: Ke$ha, Marina and the Diamonds, Lana Del Rey, Natalia Kills, and Jessie J. Her daughters suspect nothing of this shameful self-indulgent behavior.
