Pet: Anasi. Acromantula, female (adolescent, about the size of a large cat at the moment) Like her mother’s acromantula, it has a quite docile nature, although if there is any threat to it’s master it will rip the attacker to shreds.

Appearance (100 character minimum): Standing at a respectable 5’8,” Vriska Serket is a young woman with a lot of confidence in her posture and a glaring need to be in the spotlight. Born with a condition called multiple popula, seven unsettling dissected pupils characterize her left eye, though the jury’s out on whether or not this condition is a hereditary magical trait or no. This isn’t the only unsettling thing about this young witch though, oh no. She has a wicked smile with unnaturally sharp canines and an unnatural love of spiders, big or small. Long wavy black hair frames her pale face. Eyes a deep and entrancing cerulean. She has many a piercing, most predominant being her snake bites, which if asked she calls her spider bites. she occasionally dyes streaks of blue into her dark locks, but has since stopped after being sorted into slytherin. Personality (200 character minimum): Vriska is fearless and headstrong, she seeks adventure as much as it seems to find her. Vriska often acts on impulse, throwing herself headfirst into situations, not always thinking first. She is fiercely intelligent, and cunning. She may be the first to jump into a fight, but she’ll outsmart you before you can blink. She uses her knowledge and persuasion to get what she wants, if not trampling others who get in her way. She is quick to drop anything or anyone if she becomes bored. Vriska thrives on being in the middle of the action. If you cross her she will make you pay, she is a strong grudge holder and will never forget. Vriska’s affection tends to be a bit offhanded. She tends to follow the model for, “they pick on you because they like you.” Her affection is not warm and cuddly, she seeks a challenge and an equal. She is fiercely loyal and chooses her companions wisely. Vriska is a sucker for a good tale, she spins stories like webs, loving to delve into the world of fantasy.
Background (Why Hogwarts? Childhood? Any connections to other characters?): Born to a pureblood family that has a long history with pirate roots. Her family being close knit and tough as nails. A long-winded reputation trailing behind them, telling of their strength and ruthlessness. Vriska’s family has a “curse” wherein the matriarch of the family can never keep a husband. Whether he dies or is driven off or tempted away, their family is made up of predominantly women because of this the heirs to the house tend to have a hard time finding suitors. It is said that the “curse” can only be broken if the matriarch can find a partner that they are willing to relinquish control to, and can stand together as equals. It is hard for Serkets to relinquish control. they are leaders to the core. There hasn’t been a son born to their line in over three hundred years, and no one in the family will ever give a straight answer when asked about it.
Vriska’s current family consists of her older sister, her mother, and her grandmother, who are all close-knit and family to boot. They are supportive and caring… in all the wrong ways. With blood purity encouraged and some of the more eccentric and dark pursuits being taught as part of their early personal curriculum, as is the norm for most of the older families. The Serkets are no different in this aspect, they have certain characteristics, like cunning and ruthlessness, that are ingrained from an early age.
Despite being French, Vriska and her sister are the first Serkets to attend a school other than Beauxbatons Academy of Magic as part of an attempt to follow and one-up Aranea and seek an education in “foreign” lands where she could find more adventure, and adventure she would find. The Hogwarts students are of a different breed than what she is used to. Her mother arranged things for them when they expressed their desire, mother Serket always ready to pull web strings when it comes to giving her daughters what they desire. She has come to the school as a professor herself in order to keep an eye on her darling girls and spin a few more webs...

Quirks & Et cetera (Anything else you would like to add?): Loves any arachnid though spiders have a special place in her heart. She is a lover of Fantasy and make believe. Worlds that do not exist strike her adventurous fancy.She has a few traits characteristic of obsessive compulsive disorder though she’s never been diagnosed, including her obsession with the number eight, the repeated thoughts and inclination towards hurting others, and being a compulsive hoarder of anything she deems treasure.
